Steve was playing around with portraits yesterday and I decided to add Pumpkin to the mix! She is our 10 year old White Belly Caique, my best little friend in the whole world and I love her with all my heart!

I really appreciate your great message, dear Janet. I used to post photos of our pet birds (many rescued and and adopted from previous owners) on Flickr sets too but stopped later on after receiving lots of messages from people who saw those 'lovely' shots and couldn't wait to buy their "first" parrots . You're absolutely right about the hugh commitment and special attention on your part from the first day you adopt them and I wish people should realize that before bringing one home.
