The Speedy Daredevils

World Photography Day happened to fall on the day I had planned to take two of my grandsons to Fort Ticonderoga.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Ticonderoga
I hadn't been with "tweens" to a museum in quite a while - but I can say - with strong emphasis - there was not single minute to spare for photo taking contemplation - rather it was all mad clicking away and hoping to get something to post.
In their free spirited fashion - the boys were thrilled to find a non-stair alternative that the staff probably forgot to post a "Do Not Climb" on.
Before I saw - and could get out a "no" - they had raced up to the top. So I decided to just capture the disobedient moment. : )
It was a great day - but I sure am tired.

Deborah Lundbech club has replied to Marta Wojtkowska clubI slept very deeply last night, though!
As far as the Fort - I love history although I'm not very drawn to military history - but it is still an interesting place and is in a very beautiful setting on Lake Champlain.
The boys particularly loved the musket and sword displays and had a lot of fun trying to lift (interactive exhibit) a small cannon. : )
Happy World Photography Day!

Deborah Lundbech club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubHaha - that's for sure! They were up and down this slope (quite a bit longer than the picture shows) in well under two minutes!
Thanks so much for your visit and nice comment, Roger.
Thank you for the tale behind the photo and for remembering our event even with your busy day.
Do you get to be with them often? Are they subjects of your photographs on a regular basis?
Happy (belated) World Photography Day 2022!
I take ridiculous amounts of photographs of my grandkids! I've always loved portraits and pictures of people - especially kids. I took huge amounts of pics of my four boys - but that pales in comparison next to the digital wonderland and post processing of today!
These days I mostly keep the kid pics in albums on my MacBook in iPhoto - but will post them here occasionally.
I really enjoy this yearly chance to see what other people here focus on - and am very appreciative of all you do to make this happen! Thank you!
