Eerie Victorian Child

This little child's eyes look almost like they've been rimmed with black, lending a sort of creepy effect to his or her face.
Found in the Halkard/ Grimshaw Album.
This has no photographer's name on it, but the border and backing are identical to other Springfield, Vermont photos in the album , so I'm assuming that's where it's from. (That's where the album owners were from.)
