Our New House, c.1958

Brought forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: STEPS, STAIRS, STAIRCASES
Our hallway in Woodlands Avenue, Rayleigh, Essex, England.
We only lived here from 1958 to 1964 - although it felt like forever to me.
Every detail and color is still so clear to me - wallpaper, stair runner, blanket chest, the tile windowsill and pewter vase.

Taken by my mother, who always did have a good eye.
My mother took some great photos over the years, Here's another one she took of her childhood home - subsequently, my grandparents' unchanged home.
