I often wonder what animals and birds think of
shadows when they see them move ;-) .... interesting
picture of the Heron Val, is he in water or on land,
with black and white I love the effect ... it almost
appears like an enormous lily pond !

Thank you so very much, Bev! This is a small cove at low tide, so all the algae is visible on the water's surface. The heron flew away just a few seconds after I shot this image, so, lucky me! :-)
