Red Arrows - 5 June 2019

In a long life, I have seen the Red Arrows countless times and since they flew the Folland Gnat. Now operating the BAE Hawk, they still never fail to stir me such is the consistent level of excellence in their displays. In this picture, the 9 Hawks are over the Solent heading for Southsea Common at the rear of the flypast for the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day. The Red Arrows, based, as is usual for performances in the south of England, at Bournemouth, returned to Southsea Common later in the afternoon to display.
