to the animals we lost in Australia

This is the bark of a platanus tree, but the designs make me think of ghostly animal shapes running through smoke and fire.
Over one billion animals lost (not counting the smaller ones, like frogs and insects) is a tragedy beyond imagination. We need to call things by their name: what is happening in Australia is not an unusual bushfire season, it is an environmental disaster of staggering proportions, one for which we are collectively, globally responsible.

Or even worse, trying to manage the badly injured animals which still are alive. And fight the mountainous flames.
Once again,,,your thoughts are so much appreciated. Diana
I feel it would be an even greater tragedy if people the world over failed to understand the terrible import of this disaster, which is an unprecedented loss not only for Australia but for the world at large and that should make it crystal clear to even the most callous deniers what lies in store for the foreseeable future if we do not change course immediately.
