Seal Family Fishing in Lubec Narrows

The outgoing tide was really ripping through this narrow waterway, but it didn't seem to bother the seals at all.
US government "NOAA" informs boaters: "Through Lubec Narrows, the incoming tide below the narrows has a velocity of about 4 knots at strength, but in the actual narrows it attains a velocity of about 6 knots during the spring tides. The ebb current in the narrows has a velocity of about 8 knots during spring tides. Below the narrows its velocity is about 4 knots. The strong tidal currents form dangerous eddies on both sides of the channel in the narrows. The duration of slack water in the narrows is only 5 to 15 minutes."
