Bridge Into The Mist

This is The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Bridge, which is just past the international border checkpoint, from Lubec Maine to Campobello Island, New Brunswick, spanning the treacherous tidal waters of Lubec Narrows. You can see the High Tide level on the bridge supports; the tidal fluctuations in this region near The Bay of Fundy are as much as 7 meters, so the inflow/outflow from nearby bays and estuaries is tremendous, creating tidal rapids over shoals and dangerous whirlpools.
