... it is just about high tide; otherwise there would be a couple hundred meters of mudflats exposed (at low tide) ... at this distance up an estuary, the high-tide/low-tide range is only about 3 meters vertically ...

... often true, which is one of the reasons why I am just a clumsy amateur ... but I think this one is OK -- the tree on the left is vertical, and the far shoreline recedes away to behind the island, which may give the look of titled camera ...
(sometimes I wish I had a level/tilt-meter in my viewfinder ... )

A motorcycle become a photographer's friend -- then you can easily stop on narrow roads to click a pic ... when stopping in a car becomes dangerous because of other traffic. I often regret the shots I've missed because there was no place to stop my car (and I am not a motorcyclist).
