Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Nick Weall clubThank you for your interesting thoughts here!
I am sure Erhard can tell us more about it, but I believe that it is a very normal office block!!
Perhaps the employees love it!!
Best Wishes
Peter
Erhard Bernstein club has replied to Peter_Private_Box clubThe idea for this building originated from a gallery owner in Braunschweig. It was conceived by the US Americaqn artist James Rizzi (1950-2011) and realized by the local architect Konrad Klöster. The building was founded in 1999 and completed in 2001. Ar present it contains the headquarter offices the German clothing retailer "NewYorker".
In a voting by the German magazine "Hörzu" this house has been chosen as one of Germans 100 most beautiful buildings.

From my personal experience, I can say that visitiors rarely leave this place without a smile ... I added a PiP with a view from another angle.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Erhard Bernstein clubThank you so much for your very quick addition of picture and information. It is very kind of you!

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Erhard Bernstein clubThank you for your kind comments, Unfortunately it was a very short visit, and I didn't know that you lived there. If I did, we could have gone for a quick beer...
If it is any consolation, I missed seeing Frank (Bonsai) in his town too.
Best Wishes
Peter
Best wishes ... Steve
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteThank you! I believe that this is a popular sight here, but that said, it was the middle of winter, and perhaps not so many happy people around that day. It brightened up my day, as it was the only thing I photographed in the city!
Best Wishes
Peter
What a nice picture of The Happy Rizzi House in such a rainy day !! (Mine is not so good.)
I am a little sad that we couldn't see the sculptures of Christel Lechner there. We know Erhard has a wonderful album about them...

Anfortunately we had not enough time to see them in Braunschweig.
Maybe next time...

I think we will visit to Wernigerode again. Summer or winter,,,It is always wonderful! And of course we like Braunschweiig in a very short time and it is very close to Wernigerode... So I agree with you, we should arrange for a meeting and a tour next time. This time we have only two hours there...
Best wishes
