I must admit I knew very little of them too. It would appear that they are little more than what we would call a 'systems integrator' these days. However, top marks to the advertising department!

As you said, it is of a different time, and different culture even.
I remember when I started work, my wages were only a few pounds a week, and beer was two shillings a pint!
