Hi Steve,

Thank you for your appreciation. It was a choice between going further out towards Norwich and getting it in daylight, or not go so far and get it in the dark. I figured this location would be a reasonable compromise, and take it almost head on to reduce the apparent movement in the frame... I am pleased that you think it worthy!!

Best Wishes

Got to like this one. Not too many people prepared to get trains in the dark- love that spot-lamp.

Thank you Herb,

I am pleased that you have appreciated the technical merit here. As the Exif says, 1/15 sec to capture a picture of an express train, and yes it was dark! As you know, I do have other pictures of the Flying Scotsman, eg www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/43240820 , so I went for a different approach this time, and exactly as you noticed, made the headlight the focal point (as it shines brightly in the dark),

Best Wishes

My dear Füsun,

Thank you so much for visiting, it is almost as if we were watching it together, just like at Severn Valley last year, and maybe even darker than the field at Eardington!
I am so pleased that you like it.

Love Peter
