Thank you Andy. Even though Wuppertal is a long way from the real snow, it was still about freezing, with a few traces of fresh snow on the ground.
Of course you guys in the hot countries, well, you don't know what you are missing!!

You are right. The driver only turned them on when he saw me waiting with the camera, and a little acknowledgement on the horn too. The pictures without the lights look pretty ordinary.
