It was a nice Abbey, complete with its own church. Unfortunately the lavender was still a little on the green side. It would eventually go a very bright vivid purple, but not for a while..

This is a classic view of the Abbey, which I later noticed was on the front of my road map. I have some from inside too. The only downside is lack of purple in the lavender!

Nearly all the postcard shots have startlingly boosted purple in the lavander. This is a refreshing change! YS Best wishes, Andy

Thank you so much for your visit here, and thoughtful words! In this case I think the lack of purple is due to lack of lavender flowers! Enhancing the colour only gives many shades of green! Later that day I visited some other lavender fields, and they were much better developed into purple.
I am happy that you like the 'early summer' version!!
