Thank you, Christa! As has been noted a few times, in the summer, and when surging seas like this occur, the local Portreath kids dive off the wall there and have enormous fun!

Yes, but obviously not in this location exactly! (Too many man-made and natural rocky / stony impediments!)

A further point two weeks later! Steve, I'm reminded of a fact I am in danger of forgetting, namely that my girlfriend at the time I lived in Cornwall was the ex-wife of a world champion surfer and he was well known as the first person to surf the Severn Bore (you could google it for verification if you really want! I won't give his name but his surname begins with Su).
