More temporary modern art in the Jardines de Nuevos Ministerios. This one is called 'Prohibido Trepar' (Do not climb!).

These gardens are open untill minight so I thought I would take a twilight look today. I also thought the title was witty!

Gudrun, Malik Raoulda, Diane Putnam, Nora Caracci and 21 other people have particularly liked this photo

I agree, Keith. It gives it a pleasing textural quality.

A good demonstration of why you should hire a competent engineer to design the foundations of your structure. i really like the light in your photo.

I think I must be getting to old to appreciate modern art Andy, I need to see something I can associate with in my mind.

To me, this could represent sticking two fingers up at the virus, Maurice!!!
We can all associate with that!!

j'apprécie énormément le grain, la tonalité et la lumière de ta photo Andy!!! ************************ C'est de l'art moderne et, par essence même, cela dépend du sujet qui regarde! la défense de grimper est très amusante!

Well it looks as if someone has already tried to climb one of them - hence the slope!!! It's good that the gardens are open until late - that way so many more people will have the chance to see them.

When it gets dark at 6:30 around now, you can't see too much at midnight. Jenny,

Thank you, Isabel. Actually the structure is pitch black and only my rustic editing in the dreary gloon, makes it look rusty!

Hi Andy

A very nice picture, which really gives no obvious clue as to scale. It could have been a stack of bricks about to fall over!
Very clever!!!

Best Wishes, and stay safe!!

Scale, Peter? OK, This is about 15 feet high.
Nothing clever here. I just took the shot from where I was!!
All best wishes,
Andy

That's quite a scary looking sculpture, no wonder it shouldn't be climbed! I like the dark, adamant forms against the light, graceful building. Even the flag adds something to the composition.

The buildings are 'Nuevos Ministerios'. I wonder at the lack of windows at this point! Franco's torture chambers perhaps?
- only kidding, these buildings were designed before Franco.

Stark and impressive! It's the sort of scupture that goes well with official buildings.

The architect, Secundario Zarzio, would have been pleased with your comments, Gudrun!
