I love this "peeking out" sort of image and the stark contrasts...makes it look very hot there! Steve and I visited this area when we went to Provence but I don't believe we saw this town. The building style is so telling of Provence! :)

Thanks for your comment about my tumbled stones--I wonder if you still have any of your rocks?! The nice thing is that if you should find the time and interest again, all you have to do is bend over and pick up another rock! :)

Thank you, Janet.
The shot had to be heavily edited at one time as it was originally a very messy print, you know the sort of thing; blue-tak, marmalade, etc!
There's no town for miles around, this is an old farm and a mile from the nearest hamlet. I suppose the nearest town is Vaison-La-Romaine, which you might have visited but even that is an hour's drive away.
I kept some painted stones for many decades but they vanished in a mega clear-out when severe financial pressure meant a sudden move from my old house to a tiny room! EVERYTHING that wasn't of the immediate day-to-day essence had to go. I now miss much of my old things, but that would be too materialistic! One has to move on!

Faithful vision of the torrid light that reigns in the middle of summer in this region. The picturesque of Provence shines through, burned by the rays of a heavy sun. A picture of a lover (or an enemy! ;) of our beautiful southern region.
