Sierra de La Cabrera with Mondalindo as a backdrop.

I still don't know what this tower was for but as it stands directly over a (recently disused) railway, tunnelled under the mountains, I suspect it was a smoke vent, maybe.

Andy Rodker club has replied to Jenny McIntyre clubAndy Rodker club has replied to Pam J clubIt was built in the days of steam , that is why I talked about smoke vents. But I agree with you,
Excellente fin de semaine.
Have a great weekend
Andy Rodker club has replied to Keith Burton clubThose were the days I was coming here twice a week (that is why so many of my Spanish shots are from 2012!), Now?? Once a year; and my annual visit I hope will be between now and the 2nd week of June to capture the late spring wildflower show in the higher mountains. It is just a pain that this co-incides with my busiest few weeksof the year (exam time) and getting time away from all the grind ain't easy. But I gotta do it for the sakeiof my sanity!
