If you look closely, this poor horse has been hobbled.

I had to look up what hobbled horses was and I see what you mean - there is a trace of a rope joining the front two legs together. I know why they do it - but is it really necessary for this poor horrse? It does look as if the rope is rather tight.

My girlfriend and I were having a coffee in a nearby cafe when we saw an old man and a horse slowly walk down the lane towards us. My girlfriend got up to pat its nose and then we both saw that its front legs had been hobbled with a chain. As I took the shot I realised why my girlfriend froze in shock. You can see her pose at this very moment.

Great capture of this tragic predicament.

I once tried explaining the RSPCA to a class, Rosa. Complete and utter bafflement! And when I said it carried heavy political clout and was one of the best supported charities, they looked at each other as if to say, "we know the British are ridiculous, but now we know they are mad as well"
And yet many Spaniards are anti bullfighting, so things might yet change.

Sometimes we get it right and they are definitely wrong Andy. I didn't know many over there were anti bullfighting, but I don't understand how it is allowed to continue :-(

It's worse than ropes! Look carefully and you will see the chain between its front legs, Keith. And not quite, I did post a full portrait on panoramo once!
