Business English classes are BEFORE work, during lunchtimes and AFTER work. So the days are, unavoidably, very long!

Other days and you might have seen Mozart and Joni Mitchell, Bach and Ella Fitzgerald, Bruckner and Janis Joplin or Sibelius and Bob Marley together.

A fascinating still life shot Andy.........I love the old alarm clock. Before I retired I used to use one just like that and I used to stand it on a small metal tray so that it made loads of noise. As I'm hard-of-hearing it's the only way I'd wake up in time.

Now I'm retired I rarely use an alarm clock...............it's wonderful..!!

This was once my grandmother's, Keith! It served me well until a couple of years ago when it re-joined her (in Heaven I presume!).
Now, I set my smart phone at the desired hour (well, not desired actually but you know what I mean) and place it in the far corner of the room. I also have a small digital alarm by my bed. It is timed to go off 5 minutes before the phone alarm. Those 4 minute and 45 seconds are crucial for a well managed wakey-wakey! That walk / stumble across the room to get to the phone before it goes off is what really wakes me up! (That and the occasional stubbed toe and very strong coffee!).
