I can see why you find this attractive Andy...............the detail in the stone wall lovely and I especially like the random orange brick! The shadows from t he trees are very nice indeed and I like the green and gold colour combo in the foreground.

Thanks Keith. In some ways the palace / monastery is a rather grim and forbidding place but thisoputer perimeter wall, in the sun, is anything but!

It's a beautiful wall, but I do wonder how old it is. If it belongs to the monastery then it must be of quite an age.

I don't know but it may be as old, in which case, late 16th century.
