Autumn ginkgo

Quite spectacular colours for a week or two.
(I can't remember if 'quite' in American English means very or is a more non-descript 'ok - ish' because in British English it could mean either, depending on the context. Here I most definitively mean 'very'!)

"Quite":as Esther said above. Here is a quotation from the Merriam Webster Online Dictionary:
"Essential Meaning of quite
1 : to a very noticeable degree or extent : very
2 —used to make a statement more forceful I quite liked/enjoyed the music. —often used with a, an, or the before a noun She is quite a beauty. [=she's very beautiful]

Thank you, Diane! Winter settling in here now. Some years we get no snow at all. But it's always freezing cold in winter here; much to some people's surprise, they think if it's Spain then it must be warm and sunny all year round. But Madrid has a continental climate as it's far from the sea, is on a hgh windswept plateau and is close to the mountains, It is aso Europe's highest capital city at 2,500 feet.
