As with the Bay of Fundy, the tidal range, although not as great as in Nova Scotia, is deserving of the highest respect! An absolute must when I go back to Cornwall, is the purchase of a small pocket book (splash-proofed at a few pence more) called Tide Times.
Pronunciation is easy: porth cadge ack (stress on the second syllable).

Oh, isn't this lovely! Such a pretty area to enjoy. I picture myself wandering along the shoreline, looking at all of the interesting creatures and plantlife along the edge of the water, dancing with the waves, and looking out across the water. Wonderful. A super tribute to Pam. :)

Rather than dancing with the waves (not my scene really although I did a mean pogo-ing in my punk days!), I used to go rock hopping! It released the inner inhibitions in much the same way I would have thought, Janet!
