The Four Towers and street art.

The whole area between here and these 4 towers has been an 'on and off - mainly off - project' for many years to build many more such towers - I read 5 more, then 13 more and then 137 more (OK I exaggerate here!). I think envy of La Defense in Paris runs deep. They can't make up their minds. I think the street art might stay here for years!

Yes, graffiti...okay, street art... is like cockroaches. (Well, technically, that would be ARE.)
Despite the above irrelevancies, that is an amusing shot
It is interesting (to me at any rate) that I have only ever taken shots from this angle. I've never been in a position to take shots that show how different they look from elsewhere in Madrid. Firstly, you are quite right, they are not all in a line but slightly out of kilter with each other and there is a larger gap between the middle two where there was to have been a taller, central tower.
Secondly, the only one which is as broad as it is wide is the pencil shaped one; the others look fuller from different povs and the one one on the right positively bulges out at the bottom, swelling along the line of the curve you can see. I might take the bus to the other side and look for a shot to illustrate these points. With fewer classes in the summer, I have the opportunity!
And thirdly, graffiti, mainly illegal, has been with you and us since the early 70s (maybe earlier in the New York subway) and I still dislike it intensely, in the main. But this lot is technically good, officially sponsored and does cheer up an otherwise hideous site that I have endured many times a week for 7 years and it has made a difference to my state of mind on arrival at a class in one of these towers or when returning to the station.
Glad you found the shot amusing!
Off to work!!
