Cornish granite. Trereen Dinas (South). Dartmoor ponies.

There is another Trereen Dinas at Gurnard's Head on the north coast. They are both iron age clifftop fortifications. This one near Porthcurno is known as The Logan Rock due to a rocking stone on the summit which was dislodged by a young naval officer early in the 19th century. He had to put it back at his own expense; he did so, but it no longer rocked!

I found them! I found them!! Wow is that a HUGE rocky outcropping! I'm stunned! What a sight, and how nice it would be to visit sometime. The rain off in the far distance is super cool. A real winner of a photo. :)

Thank you, Janet! My most recent upload (Logan Rock) is taken from the seaward end of that rocky ganitic outcrop, looking inland ... and on the same day; the weather was very changeable but interesting from the point of view of obtaining a variety of photo moods!
