Funnily enough in Spanish the names for the derrick structure and the bird are similar to each other if not exactly the same (grua and grulla - similar pronunciation), and I wonder of they were once the same. If so, I wonder why this would be the case in both languages!?
Anyway, I thought storks delivered babies!!

Nick started an interesting discussion about the language. Check out the French language for the same objects.. The Welsh bastardised the English word, (Craen) as I suspect it is a new addition to the language..

I have the best of both worlds, Rosa - sufficient time to myself during the week at my flat and the weekends at my girlfriend's flat. It suits us both!!
A lovely day today - classes cancelled (well it happens on the run up to Easter) so I took myself off for a walk in the country near El Escorial. Pics to follow!
