We are completely snowed in. A big problem for me as I need to get my medication from the hospital in Madrid (40 km away) on Tuesday and at the moment that it isn't possible as we can't leave the village by transport or on foot! We have run out of bread and other basics already! My brother-in-law smokes and you can guess how he is at the moment having run out of cigarettes yesterday!

Same we have here, well, not yet blooming of course!
I guess if your brother in law does not kill you all... maybe he will discover that he can quit smoking?
Hope it will melt and normalize in time for you to go to Madrid.

He's just come back from a successful (cigarettes) trip down to the town. But he forgot to get bread and other basics!!! Typical!!

Oh no - I suppose he thought that (to him) cigarettes were essential!!!

As an ex-smoker, I sympathise with him, but only up to a point!!

But when diner time arrived and no bread, no meat, no.... ???? Did he felt guilty ?

My sister is a dab hand at rustling up a meal from odds and ends, so he barely noticed! And no. He has no sense of guilt at all, ever, about anything!

Oh Andy this is simply gorgeous. The wild flowers are just amazing - I just long for those warm days again. I did hear that you had a big amount of snow yesterday - I do hope you are keeping warm, especially if you have to go into hospital when this madness is all over.

I have to go to my hospital on Tuesday, leaving at 6 am when it will be - 8 degrees and very icy under the thick snow. We are on a hill. Slips, slides and falls will be easy to have, not good with my bad back. And that's assuming the early bus is running. But I must get to the hospital, otherwise I will run out of my chemotherapy pills and I can't get them anywhere else. Cars can't be used on our hill, otherwise I would get a lift for the 25 mile trip and back. It's normally a 20 minute walk to the bus stop, then 45 minutes on the bus, then metro 2 lines and 9 stops, then a ten minute walk. Lots can go wrong! But I have to try.

Hospital appointment put back to Thurs so I should be OK, assuming the weather relents a little! Thank you, Eva! My back's not too bad, but running out of painkillers so having to ration them before Thurday. Other than that I feel tickety-boo!
