Yellow-headed Blackbird

I've decided to take break from photos of Big Bend National Park and post some of birds and flowers near home and of a recent trip. This is a Yellow-headed Blackbird, a regular visitor at our feeders and a bully that will drive away all the other birds and keep them away.
Arlequin Photographie, Nouchetdu38, Nora Caracci, Marco F. Delminho and 21 other people have particularly liked this photo

Well taken Ron.
I too, have posted birdy pictures today! *SHOCK*! I've posted a new picture in under a month, WOOT! :D Heh, I may be coming around finally. It is so nice that friends here haven't gotten deathly ill, or at least I haven't known about it...it's been a burden to me, worrying about every single contact and worrying about what I might find when I visit--or not find--their page.
I rarely glance at covid news these days...the second wave is upon us and the US is just... well, there are no words, are there? Even after campgrounds open up, we'll be staying put for a while but we do have hopes to go somewhere for a while. Just don't know when that will be.
I sure did love the wonderful comments you left on my Spring Beauty flower from that hike so long ago. TY for the ID...heh...wow, those pictures are so old they don't even have proper titles. But what fun that you could go on a virtual hike with the set...it was fun to be able to offer these pictures to the MeetUp group to enjoy. What a great time, maybe we can go back for another hike there.
Oh, thank you for the link to your Ocotillo pictures at Joshua Tree! I kept thinking I'd seen those flowers before...heh...because you took them and I commented on them too! LOL! :D
Wow, you guys are getting some weather there...I'm going to bet that's your normal crazy spring weather? We're getting the normal dry late spring weather too...though it's really too dry and starting to warm up too soon. *sigh*...
Nancy's lawn doctoring is impressive. Getting plugs from the local golf course is genius too! Heh, I pictured midnight raids on swaths of golf course, masterminded by the Evil Sod Thief! LOLOL...I'd never have thought they'd let her take some of their grass! Fabulous!
Hilarious to read about your exploits into eating spicy food...sounds a lot like Steve. You guys are such amateurs. :D :D We went to a place once serving samples of spicy asian something or other and the fellow warned that it was very VERY hot. I greedily gobbled it down and loved the warm waves of heat from the chile peppers in it. The man was goggling at me, and couldn't believe my head didn't explode! Steve stayed away...heh...I ordered a dish for my lunch and loved it so much! *snicker* Did you know that every morning I eat 1/2 teaspoon of chile pepper flakes AND I also stir in 1/2 teaspoon ginger into my morning apple cider vinegar-spirulina & kelp drink mix? Heh...I love it! :D HOWEVER, I am with you on the too much is too much bit...if it's too hot you can't taste the food. If you're used to the heat you can though. It's a fine line and better to err on the side of reasonable spicy instead of blow-your-head-off. In the case of those pickle chips on the burgers, the burger mellows the chips out so they're merely a zing of yummy spicy-sweet, but by themselves...AAAAOOOOGAH!!! :D For fun I fish out the red peppers floating in the jar and chomp them up gleefully...Steve thinks I'm certifiable. Heh...I know my limits though...I'm NOT one of those silly fools who challenge themselves with Ghost Peppers and the like on YouTube. Hilarious to watch but omg, what idiots! No thanks! :)
I hope you guys get all of your paperwork sorted out for SS and so forth. What a pain. :(
Ok, I'm out. TY FOR THE VISIT!! :D Have a super day!
