Little Sable Lighthouse

I had been here before with my brother, but our last trip to Michigan included another outing with him to Little Sable State Park on the shore of Lake Michigan. We went to photograph the sunset and the stars and had a pleasant, though cold, evening.

Splendid perspective, Ron!
Thanks for your glowing commentary as usual! :) (Don't bother commenting but be sure to check out my trip pictures down to LA, the Shasta images turned out great and you'll appreciate the Redding Fire pictures too, though they are very sad to see.)
We are having a very frigid and mixed Indian summer too with warm afternoons (on occasion HOT) with freezing mornings. Lovely days! Yes, it's nice to be home, let me tell you. That trip to LA was totally gruelling...the distance, the tension and stress...we are actually still recovering from it all. Of course, Steve is now buzzing around adding, tweaking, changing, upgrading this and that. They say that an RV is like a motorized version of a Money Pit. Yeah...it is...we need to get so many things to get everything just as it needs to be. Right now Steve is studying engine brakes, which would be an additional brake system to use in conjunction with our trailer. It's nearly 3x as heavy as our tin-foil Grey Wolf and though the brakes on our truck are fine and totally adequate, they will wear down much faster without a system to assist. It ain't cheap. But, in the long run who cares? Safety and added longevity to the truck are more than worth a pile of pennies.
Good for you to winterize the boat motor and get everything stowed for the winter. I always admire your dedication to doing things right. :) Also, nice to hear that Nancy's work has paid off so handsomely in the front yard, good for her! :)
Heh, Steve loved listening to me read your amazed comments about pulling a 5th wheel trailer. He really is something else, I agree! I'm in the same boat as you: I'd never be able to do something like that. Steve is so bold, it's just incredible. I will say though...you guys have a van, but what if you had a camper van? I mention only because Steve was totally blown away at how nice they can be, with additional amenities that really would make life easier. Just something to think about. :)
Ok, Steve is off to make PANCAKES and he would like me to help out so...who am I to argue?! :D
Have a lovely day!! *big hugs*
