Turtles

While in Michigan we spent a day at Millennium Park near Grand Rapids and along the Grand River. One of the highlights of a great day spent hiking and doing photography was turtles. These were photographed along the edge of the river. The larger turtle is a Spiny Soft-shell Turtle and the smaller turtle is a Painted Turtle.

And with that sun everything is possible !!!
Thank you for the visit Ron.
You were on my mind these past few days away...omg...cell reception of zero! Thank goodness Steve had some signal so I could upload my paltry pictures each day...it was silly how bad it was to try to hook up to the net, lol. I wouldn't have cared except that I have my Pictures for Pam project and it's important to me to try to keep it up...I don't know, have you ever done a 365? They are a lot of fun but man, they get under you skin and don't let you rest until that picture is up. Awesome for a sense of accomplishment but when the conditions are spotty at best, ACK!
Hope you guys have been having a great time toodling along on your way home. Thought about you guys a log. Being out in that campground was all kinds of incredible. It's starting to sink in how free we are becoming with an RV home. Our next trip will be out to the coast for 11 days starting next week, we are so excited.
I will be trying to play a bit of catch-up tomorrow...and I'll post some more pictures of our trip. Got lots of fun macros, some lovely camping area pictures too. Gosh...it's really incredible how pretty this place was and such a different experience when you can actually hang out for days instead of a few hours.
All the best!
Have a nice weekend Ron.
Love the spiny soft-shell turtle...looks so different from other turtles I've seen.
