Bald Eagle

Bald Eagle
This is a Bald Eagle that has not quite reached maturity. The head and tail do not turn completely white until the bird is two years old. This one, obviously, is not that old yet. The photo is an older shot taken on Whidbey Island.

The eagles were picking up rodents in a field as the farmer was mowing hay and we were on a slightly higher point.
