Austin Pass

Austin Pass
The view is back from Artist's Point over Austin Pass. There is a road to Artist's Point which more or less is followed by the ski and snowshoe trails in the picture. We, however, went up the slopes on the far left following one of the two trails visible there. At the farthest end of the trails there are several tiny figures which help give some scale to the shot. Across from the valley, the edge of which they are following, are the lower slopes of Herman Peak. We plan to be on these trails again this week Thursday, our first snowshoe excursion of the winter.
