Table Mountain

Table Mountain
This is another photo of Table Mountain taken on a snowshoeing excursion last March. Table Mountain, along with Mount Shuksan, dominates the area around the Mount Baker Ski Resort and is a favorite destination for snowshoers. It lies to the north of Mount Baker and to the west of Mount Shuksan.

There are as many backcountry skiers and snowboarders in this area as snowshoers, Steve. There were eight of us on this excursion and one of the guys brought his snowboard.

We actually live below the mountains where the winters are very mild. We've had no snow at all this winter and temps have seen the same range that they generally do in the UK, especially the midlands and south, so we have the best of both worlds, very mild winters and if we want snow and all the snow sports we can go up in the mountains since they are only a short drive away.
