Camp Growden

Camp Growden is a camp in Sherman Pass in eastern Washington used by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1920's and now a small park along Highway 20. The CCC builts roads, trails, camps and other structures in the area and the camp was known as "Little America" because those who worked there were from every area of the country. These boots are a memorial to the workers and are made of metal, not leather, and are firmly attached to a rock.
