Douglas' Buckwheat

Eriogonum douglasii is one of our spring wildflowers but grows only in dry areas and so we see it only on the eastern side of the Cascades. These were photographed along the Ray Westburg trail on Manastash Ridge south of Ellensburg, Washington, a fabulous place for wildflowers in the spring.
