Is it operable?

Only by laser to relieve pressure and prevent more nerve damage. It does not improve eyesight, though. I need to have eye pressure checked every 3-4 months, because it could happen again at any time. I've learned ways to work around it, but sometimes it's a nuisance! On a bad day I'm not sure a photo is clear, for example. Thank you, Keith.

Oh that is so sad....but your images bring such joy and wonderment. I hope you can continue for a long long time.

Sympathies! I have pre-glaucoma signs, but so far it's held off (crossing fingers)...

Mine happened very fast, about 18 months after the previous exam, which was fine. I had blurred vision and delayed, thinking I just had cataracts, but during my exam I could feel the staff getting sort of panicky after reading off my pressure numbers. Everyone scrambled to confirm again, and so on. I hope you get regular exams.

Yikes! I just got my yearly eye checkup last week and all is still OK. For now, I guess (still crossing fingers)--

Thanks for posting. I've been having slight signs lately of vision problems and considering how dependent I am on computer and camera, it's a worrying issue.

Well, Don, get your patootie into the ophthalmologist. Most likely it's just cataracts, but that's what I had thought, too.

Yes, it reminds me of the things we just take for granted.

It's hard work to get old and a shock to most Baby Boomers, I think.
