Pam J club has replied to Diane Putnam clubIt was the bone china tea set my Gran couldnt afford to buy my Mum and Dad as a wedding present in 1941 . But she bought it for them. It was perfect. I had it professionally packed.
Customs charged us a large amount of money to do X-Rays so they didnt need to open the boxes (and there wasnt alot of stuff.. and nothing bad or "illegal") and STILL they ripped into the boxes and threw stuff back in. Apart from the tea service.. a portfolio of mine of 25 years work got a drawing board leg shoved down into it and ripped years of work up. I packed that portfolio and the board .. I KNOW it was shipped safe.
Lets just say it was just the insult to the injury of 2 1/2 years of being treated like dirt by American Immigration.
