Seven ducks

Seven ducks
Not a good photo, but wanted to show what we were up to. This is part of a section at Linkville Cemetery that is all children and infants. My granddaughter wants to buy more ducks, because there are so many infants who don't have gravestones. They are probably the ones with indigent parents (or an indigent mother).

Children's graves are always the ones that get to you. A lovely idea to leave the ducks- hopefully they will still be there when you visit next time.

I hope so. If they're not, I suspect it will be the fault of wind. The groundskeepers at this cemetery don't remove things, like modern ones. Yes, the babies - so many babies - and children of all ages...

I read somewhere that these could be babies born out of wedlock, so maybe the families were ashamed.
