➽ Sanierter Färberturm der ehemaligen Augsburger Kammgarn-Spinnerei
Der im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert durch die Zunft der Bleicher und Färber genutzte Färberturm diente dem Aushängen und Trocknen eingefärbter Stoffbahnen.
Typisch für das Aussehen eines Färberturmes ist der rechteckige Grundriss mit gemauertem Sockelgeschoss. Darüber erhebt sich ein hölzerner Aufbau bis zu 12 Metern. Oben, auf dem damals offenen Turm befindet sich ein umlaufendes Stangengerüst zum Aufhängen der nassen Stoffbahnen. Ein aufgesetztes Mansarddach schützt das Bauwerk vor der Witterung.
Heute wird der Turm vom Verein "Bürgeraktion Textilviertel" genutzt. Über der Vereinsebene befindet sich ein Multifunktionsraum, der auch eine Nutzung durch Dritte zuläßt und ein neuer Veranstaltungsort im Viertel ist. Die darüber liegende Ebene bietet einen Blick aufs Turminnere, aber auch auf das umgebende Textilviertel.

➽Refurbished dye tower of the former Augsburger Kammgarn-Spinnerei (Augsburg worsted spinning mill)
The dye tower, used by the guild of bleachers and dyers in the 18th and 19th centuries, was used to hang out and dry dyed strips of fabric.
The rectangular floor plan with brick base is typical of the appearance of a dye tower. A wooden structure rises up to 12 meters above it. On top of the tower, which was open at the time, there is a circumferential bar frame for hanging up the wet fabric. A built-on mansard roof protects the structure from the weather.
Today the tower is used by the association "Bürgeraktion Textilviertel" (Citizens campaign Textile Quarter). Above the club level there is a multifunctional room that also allows third-party use and is a new event location in the district. The level above offers a view of the interior of the tower, but also of the surrounding "Textilviertel" (Textile district).
