Talaria

➽ Talaria (winged sandals) - well, they don't know Red Bull back then! ;-D
Detail at the "Merkurbrunnen" (Mercury Fountain), one of three so-called "Augsburger Prachtbrunnen" (magnificent fountains), which I would like to introduce you in the next few days.
The "Augsburger Prachtbrunnen" (magnificent fountains) are three fountains in Augsburg's Maximilian street. They form a triad that appeals to the three stands of the realm city: the stands of sovereigns, merchants and craftsmen. The Fountains were created between 1588 and 1600 by Hubert Gerhard and Adriaen de Vries.
