A River Wharfe sentinel

A River Wharfe sentinel
As we walk up the valley here on the Dales Way alongside the infant River Wharfe I spot a most notable dead tree. I am sure it was once a proud member of its family and we can only guess at the changes it has seen here. Just a mile or so further we were to reach the hamlet of Yokenthwait.

Why does that not surprise me my friend? Yes, a must-have river photo here with this tree. (I looked in your tree album but could not see it.) Glad you liked it.

Cheers. Herb

Such a beautiful scene Herb........and the dead tree fits in really well and immediately draws the eye!

Lovely sunshine, a lush green landscape and a very attractive river, with some nice reflections. What's not to like?

Enjoy the rest of your day..........and have a good week ahead.

Yes, sad ending, there is one in the background who seems not to be in great shape either.
