HBM~ Leyburn Station

A look at this railway station here in the Yorkshire Dales just some minutes before it was to be crowded with people who were to board this train.

This is one of our Class 143 DMU’s known as a Pacer.

I should say that this is actually the Wensleydale Railway, and operates heritage diesel train services between Scruton and Leyburn.

The PiP shows the station before the train arrival.

Haha, I neglected to say in my intro that this is actually The Wensleydale Railway that operates heritage diesel train services between Scruton and Leyburn hence the old train type. These Pacers are a rare breed but this railway has a few I believe. Glad you liked it.

My only journey on this line was as support crew on the footplate of visiting J27 65894.

It did Herb but the railway has a preference for diesel power and our second trip was cancelled and replaced by an ex-BR diesel loco!
