Grazing at Diggle

Grazing at Diggle
One of our local Saddleworth villages here with its brand new Saddleworth secondary school in the last throws of construction. The other day I posted some high shots from a spot called Harrop Edge. We are looking towards that here and my dry-stone -wall photos taken from the point indicted in the PiP ( This school is just to the left of that picture.) Of course the horses are the stars here and we see some with head protection covers, I presume against fly infection.

Enjoy full screen.

Thanks Toz, yes I think it is a bad time for horses around these parts as I have seen quite a few like this on my walks.

Cheers, Herb

Yep, at the end of the day, the horses have to be the stars. Flies must be a real pest for these wonderful animals.

Keep good. Herb

Yes, a nice little walk here. The foreground row of trees hides the Huddersfield Narrow canal that we usually walk along when here. The 1500 place school is controversial as it replaces another situated just behind the next bigger busier village, said to be far better suited. They have had to widen roads and put in more to feed this building. The very sleepy village will no longer be so and this lose its appeal. Anyway.... such is life.
