The Trossachs of Scotland: Mist in May
Its early morning at Aberfolye and this is our first full day here. The last thing I expected was mist and so I jumped into my outdoor cloths and ran down the lane which overlooked these fields and local hills. I liked this tree and the horse was a pure bonus, as I felt the cold coming through my gloves and by-now very wet trainers, walking through the frosty dew covered fields. The mist moved around like a magic veil.

Hi Judite. Yes an image for romantics here. I was captivated by this scene as you can imagine. My hands were frozen around tis time after about 30 mins in the very cold air, clicking away.

A wonderful ambience here............the blue sky, the light and the mist combine perfectly to make this exquisitely beautiful scene. The distant horse and the nicely shaped tree are real bonuses!

Ambience is what I was seeking Keith. I liked that tree full of character and the horse was simply good fortune, although I had to position myself just right to get it like this.

Hi Toz, glad you liked this start of my Scottish trip. I did in fact take another nice shot with the horse to the left of the tree, but this won out here. Still looking at the first days of my trip and I see I have a lot of editing to do as all my photos are in RAW to start with. Another couple tomorrow.

Gotcha Herb... I am now fully into RAW but 'Lightroom' 6.14 wouldn't process the Sony.. so I am getting to grips with this 'Darktable'.... very powerful - does everything - and 'Open source' -.all good so far... and it keeps my brain cell going...// Dj.
