Witches Head Nebula IC2118 - Better viewed on Blac…
This was taken over two nights and with the Skywatcher scope ED80 and an Auto focuser. Tracked guided 10min shots 28 shots in total. one night in moon light one night no moonlight but all taken in the city lights. this is just above Orion nebula in the southern hemisphere so it would be below in the northern hemisphere.
Added data gave me some thing I tried to kill but in the end best to leave the Bight light of Rigel to shine on the Witch as a spot light. I have only cropped out the edges that show the stacking. enjoy the Witch.

This is the tank that the water pipe line from Perth Flows into for the Supply of Kalgoorlie. the PIP shows the pipe that follows the road out there and ends up here with the water.

Big thanks to see the site up and running as it will have been a big effort by every one behind the scenes.

That is a person next to both machines even at 6'3" or 1.9m I could stand under the front tray cover with a lot of head room but was still dwarfed by that Tyre.

Compare just how big these machines are with the PIP and a person standing by them.
Truck and Willy Willy
In Australia A Willy Willy is what the Americans call a twister(tornado). As I was changing from 150-600 to 24-120 I could see this move down the road to the truck. I finally got a shot as it passed the truck, yes it was a very hot day.

Kalgoorlie
This is a over view of the city of Kalgoorlie , taken from the high point that is the Museum. The city has a very rich selection of very old buildings that all dale from 1895. I may put a few as PIP's only for those who are interested.
For those interested this was a very hard panorama to put together as it was taken right next to the Main frames of the Mine pulley frame. half to the left half to the right of the frame which changed the view point and hence angle of view. I chose to have the foreground out and keep the horizon straight. enjoy the over view.

A place that really makes you feel alive a shot from 82' Kodak ASA 200. The summer haze of Greece is very evident in this shot. The monastery on the left made famous by James Bond Movie "For Your eyes Only" . Quite a climb to get to the top and just what a view.
