Next to the cliff face the only way to keep people from going over the edge. The place the morning shot came from.

Close to Carina So is only visible in the Southern Hemisphere. this is one I forgot to try so it is very high in the sky. This is 116 shot taken over two clear nights Moon free, each 10 min Guided -10 degrees.
this was part trial to see if even with the Astro camera its worth taking more than one night. first night photo took a bit if noise removal two nights together none at all and far more subtle detail in the shot like the "Ladies" Wrap show up more with the second night. I have added a starless PIP of the Lady as well so you can see her standing on her platform.

I think a little past the limit in size of the 900mm more a 1500mm shot to get the detail. this has been cropped a little more than the usual stacking artifacts. when I went out with the grand daughter this was at home 58 shot 10 min all night long stopped at 5:20 am next morning. it was a case of waiting for this to rise above the shed to start.
I was shown how to edit this galaxy. as we still can not replace best way I can show the reality.

I took my granddaughter out to some where "Close" Hours drive from home to have a look at the stars. I left the Astro mount at home shooting......

While I got us at 4 am this is moon set 5:30 am and matched with Sunrise at 6:30am so there was no time at all to get a dark bow.
I kind of set out to do the impossible but here it is that impossible a bow. to the left sunrise to the right moon set..........................................
Large Magellanic Cloud

This is a Test shot only. I am clouded in I had a hole in the clouds the LMC was low to the city lights. this will be done on the farm away from city lights and I can shoot the whole night long. You cant miss the Tarantula nebula top right. 11 shots 150mm ISO 200 clouds killed the rest of the night.
I had to come up with a better way of using the Nikon lens so I could guide the shots as well. While I was away in Margaret River I did some thinking traveling in the bus.
What you see is all the bits that was used on the very large S/S plate all brought together. My grandson and I put all the bits on the table a went from there below is the result of that build. there is nothing like this off the shelf to use with camera's you have to build your own.

I got up at 4 am in the hope the moon would be lower to get the milky way. This is a full 360 degrees of the view of Calgardup Bay under an almost full moon.
Enjoy what the rest of the world missed.

This is the very last photo I can take of this area I have taken a few over the years but it all comes to an end. This whole area is now ready for homes to be built so it lost its pristine Area. Thankfully the moonlight hide all this in the dark past the trees. There is no lighting of this area but the moon a few cars and the homes near by.
As Is my custom I take Carlos a fellow traveler from the Portuguese community out when we are together my tripod, my L Bracket and me telling him how to set the camera up.Then it was up to me to take the photo on his Canon 70D and then put it all together on PTGui.

This was a trial for Focus I noted each time I cleaned the focus track of the focus got better. I cleaned just before I started. HFR was 1.4 -1.6 all night long. Looks like its a worth while routine.
Even this close No chicken but you can see the Dark spots in the Huge nebula.
Taken with ZWO CMOS camera 56 Files 10 min files Sadly I can not shoot a second night as we are going away early in the morning. Shot With
ZWO ASI071MC Pro @ -10c
ZWO AEF,
Optolong LeNhance filter,
Skywatcher Black DiamondED80 OTA
Skywatcher EQM35Goto
Sequence Genorator Pro
Guided PHD2,
Stacked DSS. Processed PixinSight , PS and Lr.
PIP DSLR version with about the same amount of moon light and shorter Focal lenght.

I had cleaned and reground the grooves out of the Focus tube this was just a very fast trial to see if it helped. what helped the most was de grease the track before I started shooting tonight a very low HFR and the image is clear and sharp on the Running chicken. Next image coming.
Another very busy area and one full of stars even one 6 sided nebula to the right. I was just a little disappointed that I chose the wrong target it sat down low in the sky in the city light pollution.
this will be redone in a few months where its higher to the east and use the FF Nikon to get the whole cloud @600mm and a whole lot more shots.

the two white nebulas are the two blue dots in the PIP to the right.

This is only seen in the Southern hemisphere as this is right next to the Large Magellanic Cloud which you can see top most of the photo the white area. Which I will have to wait to get higher in the sky away from the City lights. First night I tried to get this the weather did not help the photos so I had to delete them all and start again. A very busy place in the sky. the white dot on the top side of the photo of the LMC

The Fighting Dragons of Ara NGC6188

It just so happens that the Dragon's are rising in the milky way at the moment so it made a good target to shoot but I had to wait for the Nebula to get above the shed and fence 10:10pm. This is two night of 6.5 hours each night and yielded quite a spectacular image. very different to my first because of the filter and the size of the sensor 900mm shot.
Taken with ZWO CMOS camera and getting Fits files. 77 Files 10 min files Shot With ZWO ASI071MC Pro @ -10c and ZWO AEF, Optolong LeNhance filter, Guided PHD2, Stacked DSS. Processed PixinSight (stil learning), PS and Lr.
I have re looked at this Shot and how the filter affected the shot I have redited it as it should look but as I can not replace here only way to show it.
