TOZ.
Steve Paxton club has replied to TOZ clubAn image which really spells out our times, and lack of concern for the environment. Most of mainland Europe has realised the need to keep heavy freight off the road. Pulling up railway tracks is counter productive to this. Perhaps some far sighted manager has said "Leave the tracks there, we will need them again when the oil runs out!"
As Herb says, most of our disused tracks have been lifted for scrap. However, a lot in America do get left....
Best Wishes, HFF, and a good weekend
Peter
