Wild Flower

Wild Flower
Borya constricta Churchill flower came out not a flower many people will ever see even here in Perth, the flower head is no bigger than 10mm.

PIP shows the whole group.

Makrofan, neira-Dan, Tanja - Loughcrew, cammino and 10 other people have particularly liked this photo

Since taking this the other two have come out as well. not one you would ever see a real wild flower. Glad you like it. All the best to you.

This is a plant that lives in the harshest of environments in the world. High on the huge granite rocks of the area. they only live on the rain fall they "die" or going to Sleep mode

Autumn ( Summer colour)

once the rain falls they wake up and come alive. in summer they are in hibernation or in what those of Europe would know as autumn mode. It has a bite as I found out he very first time I met the plant in the dark trying to set up the shot for the milky way. a true survivor of its environment.

The PIP is a very accurate way of how you find then in the wild in less than 60mm of soil, nothing but rock below and harsh sun above and yet it live very well.
