Torri e ponti coperti

Si tratta di una sequenza di tre ponti (Zornemuhle, Dinsemulhe e Spitzmuhle) che attraversano il braccio dell'Ill nel prolungamento del Quartiere della Petite France ed hanno conservato il loro nome nonostante la scomparsa della loro copertura nel 18° secolo. Sono sono dominati da 4 Torri del 14° secolo, resti di un'antica fortificazione che garantiva l'indipendenza della Repubblica Strasburghese. Quella più distanziata viene chiamata la Torre del Boia. Subito dopo l'annessione di Strasburgo alla Francia nel 1681, una nuova cinta fortificata fu costruita da Vauban.

It is a sequence of three bridges (Zornemuhle, Dinsemulhe and Spitzmuhle) crossing the arm of the Ill in the extension of the Petite France quarter and have kept their name despite the disappearance of their roof in the 18th century. They are dominated by four 14th-century towers, the remains of an ancient fortification that guaranteed the independence of the Strasbourg Republic. The one furthest away is called the Executioner's Tower. Immediately after the annexation of Strasbourg to France in 1681, a new fortified wall was built by Vauban.
